Sorry I am late. I spent most of the day on Thursday in La Crosse, WI at my one year post op appointment.
What did you do for yourself when you reached your one year anniversary or if you haven't yet, what do you plan to do for yourself as a reward? And for the second part what will you continue to do to reward yourself through out your journey?
I treated myself to a tattoo. I think on my yearly's I will reward myself somehow, just not sure as I am not done losing...at least by my standards. My nutritionist said she thought 150-170 would be a healthy weight for me. I got 10 pounds to go to reach the high end of that.

For my 1 yr I went and bought a Coach purse and wallet. I spent a small fortune on it but I figured its the only one I have ever bought and will most likely be the last.
On the second part of your question, I reward my self with shoes or cute tops I just love the look of the smaller sizes!
Oh and now that I am not a huge whale.... I love, just love to go get pedicures, now that's a big step for me because when I was big I would never have done that. That's a every month reward just because I don't cost as much to feed!

I just hit my 1 year anniversary last week, and I went shopping. I've been going all along, but this time, I didn't care if what I wanted was on sale or not. I spent about $200 and got everything from new shoes (yes, even my shoes are too big for me now), to a new bag, to some shirts, pants and a new slip. It just feels so good to be able to walk into any store I want and choose something from the rack that I like, and it fits. I used to only be able to buy what fit, whether I liked it or not.

I don't remember anything special for one my one-year anniversary - but all along, I've considered it a "reward" whenever I can go shopping and buy something cute and SMALL!! I also requested (and got) a Disney annual pass for Christmas that first year (just a few months after surgery), and have renewed it continually - so my daughter and I go often - and I consider that a reward - that I can enjoy days running through an amusement park - go on every ride - and spend hours with my daughter at the Happiest Place on Earth!! I never would have done that pre-WLS.
