I know for me personally, I like something with a good beat, be it hip hop or country.  A few of my exercise musts are:

I'm a product of the 70s.  I like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Humble Pie, etc.  One of my faves for working out is the song "Radar Love."

If its loud and has a good beat it works for me!
