Daily Post--8/13 thru 8/17
Wow, I hadn't even realized I was this far behind! I've had the grandbaby here all week and time sure does fly when you are holding them! LOL
SO, anyone who posts to this post gets FIVE post credits for it! How about a suggest-a-post-topic thread?? Post any idea you have for daily post topics...
Thanks!
Lea
I guess most of my questions would be for those that are at or near goal.
I would love to know how people maintain long term?
How do people deal with the friends, etc. that call you anorexic and tell you that you look awful, all skin and bones? (I know they mean well, so please don't go there...)
Has anyone had trouble handling the hot and humid weather this year, now that you're only partial of who you used to be?
Any ex-diabetics now hypoglycemic? If so, how do you keep your blood sugars up in a normal range? And if you do drop severely low, how do you get it back up quickly without soda/candy, etc.?
Yesterday I realized I only need to walk 10 minutes out of each hour to make my 10,000 step a day goal (3.1 miles). What was your WOW, I can do that moment?
If you fell off your routine, how long did it take to get back on? What did you do to get back on track? Eating, drinking, exercising, weighing regularly, logging everything?
How are people that are over a year out dealing with the emotional aspects of eating? Are the old ways creeping back in?
Do you think that there was enough mental and/or physicological counseling to go along with your surgery (either before or after)? Do you think there needs to be more intensive treatment to see what caused us to become so obesse in the first place?

Question:
I am struggling to lose the last 40-50# - I am looking for ways to boost my weight loss and maximize the few months I left on this WLS losing streak...it is looming in my head lights like a beacon...you are almost finished...you need to lose it Now...or you are done 'fer...is this true? Anyones comments will be appreciated.
I am almost 17 months out from surgery. I was wondering what people did to help lose the last 20 pounds or so. I know it is harder to lose the closer you get to goal but I am afraid I won't ever reach it. What suggestions to people have to help lose the last 20 pounds since these are the ones we really have to work at.
I have gone from a 26-28 to this weekend buying size 14, yet I still feel big..... how long does it take to realize that you dont take up as much space as before??? I was holding up some pants I bought thinking there is no way im gonna fit, but Ill save them for "later", then just for ****s and grins I try them on and they fit!!!!!!
