My daughter and I attended our county fair this past Monday night. We split a grilled ham and cheese sandwich from the local Eastern Stars stand. We got some kettle corn for during the demolation derby and then we were really bad and got a funnel cake (sprinkled with some 10x sugar) and took home and split between us (fat and sugar do not make us sick). It is a once a year thing and we enjoyed ourselves.

I'm pretty obsessive with measuring my food and knowing exactly what amount of protein it has, so I try to avoid this when I can. Going to a restaurant is a little easier, because I can order steak or chicken and it's a little easier to guestimate. When DH and our friends go to Six Flags however, I'll probably get a burger or something, no bun, and do it that way.
I don't go to our fair, but we do have the Strawberry Festival which is like a fair and I love to get the food there. Its harder to stick to my food plan but I do enjoy catfish and BBQ Chicken.
As far as Amusement parks we do Disney all the time and its super easy to find great healthy food at Disney especially on the buffets.
You know, I was lucky at the fair this week. I had to be there all evening Tues, Weds, Friday and then all day on Saturday (10 am till 1:30 am Sunday morning). The lucky part? I was the one making/serving the food. One evening, I cut up two weiners in a dish and spooned some chili over them. Another night, I had taco salad. Saturday afternoon, I sort of had chili/cheese nacho chips. I had a very slight handful of chips smothered in cheese sauce and chili... No corn dogs! No funnel cakes! I did have a frozen strawberry lemonade one evening though when I had to carry the money box down the midway for another event... But, other than that, I was pretty good!
