Daily Post--7/28/08 Monday
Basically I "wung" it..I knew we would be eating out all of our meals so for breakfast I stuck with eggs and lunch was usually something quick...minus any bun or what have you..and for dinner was when I pumped up my protein with a steak or some chicken...It was surprisingly easy for me to deal with...I did bring a box of protein bars with me that I ate on the drive out to PA and then back again...but other than that..I flew by the seat of my pants and was fine!
When we went on vacation last week I packed lots of WLS foods to bring. We stayed in a condo so I knew I'd have a full kitchen -- so I brought things like Laughing Cow cheese, yogurt, chicken breast, shrimp, oatmeal packets, and some 100 cal packs for my "treats." I didn't worry too much about exercise becuse I knew we'd be doing a lot of walking. It worked out great and for the first time ever I actually lost weight on vacation!
This is something I really struggle with. Since when we go on vacation its usually to Disney World. I do take healthy snacks and protein shakes, but I do end up eating LOTS of other things. We do Character Meals so its easy to find good Protein there its just the snacks inbetween that I shouldn't have although. Last time we went I ate ALL kinds of stuff and still lost 5 pounds. Guess it was all that walking!
