I actually never saw myself has obese unless I saw a picture, now I feel my size fits my image of how I see myself. I want to get smaller and see myself smaller...but then don't we all.

There are some days when I see myself thinner, but then there are other times when I still see that fat girl that no one wants to be around. Guess it depends on the day. Sally

I hated women who said "I look so fat!" when I was MO. Now I do it, and it drives my loved ones crazy. I wear a size four. I try to compare myself to other women to see if I can wrap my head around being smaller, but no matter what, I see the problem areas - the batwings, the spare tire, etc.

I'm finally starting to get glimpses of me as a I am now but most of the time I still see the obese person I was.

I'm almost 6 years PO and I still don't have a good sense of what I look like. I mean I see myself in the mirror and I think, "hey I know her"... but if you ask me to point out someone in the crowd who I think has a similar shape body, I always point out someone who is quite a bit heavier than I am. It's kinda frustrating sometimes. Sheryl

It depends on the day. Some days I feel like I look the same as before surgery and other days I don't. It's so strange, the way our brains work (or don't ~ lol). Jules

I can SEE myself as I am today, but still have the image of who I was.

I know I am thinner because I weigh less but I still feel fat and think I am still fat when I see pictures of myself. I still need to lose 20 pounds but I am sure losing that won't make me feel any different.

I know I no longer look like the before pic the Dr took of me, and I wear smaller clothes, but sometimes I am getting dressed and I think to myself 'there is no way this will fit me'..... and when it does, I am kind of suprised, then when it gets loose, it is great then I have to go look for new stuff, which is hard. I am in a 16, but yes I still see myself as heavy. Vivienne

I have to say I do not have a real sense of how I look. I see the numbers on the scale but when I look in the mirror I still see that 325 pound person.
