How can YOU tell you have overeaten? Is anyone experiencing blood sugar issues?

I always love to hear people's favorite compliments, wow moments. Food ideas are always welcome, especially now with potlucks running rampant here in the midwest. Ideas on how to tighten the sagging skin would be helpful for those of us that can't get PS. Ideas on how to keep thinking of food as fuel and not as a treat or as a punishment. How to train your mind to see the real you and not the MO you still.

What did you take to the hospital? How many friends remained friends after you lost weight? If you had a CPAP before surgery, how long did it take to ditch it? How did your friends react to WLS in general? How did your friends react to the changes in you resulting from WLS? What kind of activities are you doing now that you didn't do before WLS? Did other people start seeking you out as a friend after WLS? What happened to your career opportunities as a result of WLS? What have you done that you never could have imagined doing before WLS?

1. How many people went into this surgery knowing/believing they would NOT have plastics afterward? Has their minds changed now that they are at or close to goal? 2. For those folks who are one year and over do you still get that sensation of fullness you got early out? if not, when did it change? Do you have issues controlling any overeating?

Did anyone suffer from any complications either immediately after or anytime after WLS? Now that you may have lost all or most of your weight, if you see a before pic of yourself, what do you think about that person, and how is that person different from the thinner you?

Now that you are losing or have lost the weight what part of your body do you dislike and which part do you like, and what will be the first part to get PS on if you can get it? Oh and what exercises are you doing to work the flabs away in those problem areas? KAren

Do you forget how big you really were until you see a picture? Does everyone else seem to forget? When you look in the mirror is the same person looking back at you that was looking at you pre op?

The one questions I have are more for people who are over a year post op. Looking back over this whole experience do you think that there is enough time spent, pre and post op, on the psychological end of this whole procedure? Do you think that there should be some kind of minimum counseling sessions to deal with why we became obese and overate in the first place? If you are unable to get to the "goal" you have set for yourself how do you keep from feeling like a "failure"? What do you tell yourself to keep yourself feeling like a success? If you are single, did you think that WLS and loosing the weight would be a "magical" answer to meeting someone significant? Do you find it easier to meet people to date or are some of the "issues" that kept you single to begin with still there? Kind of like that whole who do you see in the mirror thing. Do you still use protein supplements or do you consume enough protein in what you eat? Sally
