Not my kids but it has my grandkids a 5, 6 and 1 yr old. They are here all the time and I was just sitting on the couch before WLS and now they come in and sit on the couch because I make them tired! LOL

My son was the one who got me to look into WLS. We were playing one day ~ he was almost 3 ~ when I got too tired to keep playing. He said "that's not fair Mommy" and he was absolutely right...it wasn't fair for me to be so overweight that I couldn't play with him and his younger sister. Now 4 1/2 and almost 3 my kids don't know the difference in my size but they do know I can play with them as long as they want to. They are my biggest reasons for having surgery...I want to not only be able to play with them bu****ch them grow up.

My 23 year old daughter has lost 60 pounds herself by diet and exercise.. I'm so proud of her! Oh, and we wear the same size now (four!). We share clothes and shoes - never could have done that before! Most of the time, she loves that we can share everything, but sometimes she gets annoyed because I'm wearing something she wanted to wear!! hehehehe

I don't have any children but my God-Daughter and Nephews watch what I eat and have even started reading the labels at grocery stores. They watch us and learn more from us than we think they do. Sheryl

My children are very proud of me, and I think that my son (21) has started to eat a bit healthier, and I am trying to explain to my daughter (7) about some of the changes in our eating and grocery habits. Vivienne

Not sure that it's affected them but they sure did notice! My 27 year old son lives next door but because of work schedules we seldom see each other. He was amazed at how I look and the fact that I walk up and down the road every day. He didn't know it was me My 20 year old daughter got pregnant right before I had surgery back in October. She's always been a pear shape and was smaller than I. I was able to give her lots of my clothes as I went down and she grew with the babe. Now she has clothes to shrink back down into! She's thrilled for me and is so happy that we can get out and DO things now. We are all looking forward to going to Valley Faire and riding the roller coasters together. I've always held everyone's stuff while everyone else road... not this year Lori

I have two teenage boys, 16 & 17. They don't say much, but every now and then, one of them will comment on how skinny I'm getting. I think that they are proud of me. Jules

Well my youngest who is 21 had the surgery 6 weeks before me, this was a team effort. My son has been inspired to loose weight but he is doing it the old fashioned way. Watching everything he eats and working out at a gym. He is down from a size 50 pants to a size 44. My oldest doesn't seem to want to do anything to improve her weight. She is dealing with a lot of personal issues right now and I think it is just more then she can deal with so I don't say anything. Sally
