Daily Post--6/20/08
C H O C O L A T E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually gave it up 100% for the first year and a half but now I have to have a bit once in a while. I remember the exact moment I ate my first piece of chocolate PO... I regret that moment to this day! I could care less about the pasta, rice, potatoes, french fries and all that stuff - give me chocolate any day and I'm a happy girl!! YIKES!

Fried anything...I thought it would be very hard to give it all up, I have not had fried chicken in a long time. About the onlt fried thing I eat these days are maybe a french fry from the gkids meals or a few o rings...Chips have been the absolute hardest...I resently got a fill and now I can not keep them in "PB'ING & SLIMING" so I will not even try them any more ...for now anyway! LOL!
I haven't entirely given up anything but I have a very hard time eating a sandwich of any kind....especially a hamburger and I do miss that at times. What I wish I could give up is my desire, my craving for chocolate. I never had a problem with candy before and now it is an extreme craving! I used to be able to eat lots of salty snacks and loved them but now a couple chips and that is all I want or can handle. Thank God my stomach puts a limit on foods for me or I would be really struggling. My mind accepts that fact that I can't eat more than just a couple bites at a meal.
I gave up a lot of things after WLS - I was one of those "by-the-book" people. But after reaching my goal, I started eating small portions of some of the things that I'd missed, like bread, chocolate, and ice cream... but one of the things that I just can't tolerate like I used to, and really miss, is fruit! I can only eat a few bites, and I'm done...
