Does your surgical team do anything to reward or acknowledge their postops?

No, not that I know of, however, the weight loss and health benefits are enough for me!

Nope.

My surgical team might ask if you want to participate in their program to speak to prospective patients. I had a regain and they were very positive in letting me know that I am still a success (even with a gain) and offering me appointments with a bariatric nurse at no charge to get back on track. I did do that and have lost 6 pounds in the last 3 weeks.

Not that I am aware of....well except they do offer support meetings. But that is a really good idea to offer some kind of reward or at least take some before and after pictures for future patients to see.

Lea, Have you heard of practices doing something like this? The practice I went through does ask select post-ops to come to the pre-op support group meeting and speak about their journey.

No, I've not heard of this. The topic was one suggested by a group member when we ask for discussion topics. I do know that my surgeon offers specials to his support group members from time to time as he feels that those who take the time to attend regular support meetings and support others too deserve a bit of a perk from time to time... Other than that, there isn't anything in my area... Lea

Not that I know of. At my 1yr check I did request a copy of my before and after pictures. All I could do was cry.
