Daily Posts Resuming--6/2/08

I left my long-time job of 13 years in March. Last month I saw a co-worker who I hadn't seen since. She saw me and said "Oh my you look like a model". I don't think I have every felt so beautiful!!

So far the best compliment I have gotten is that I now look like my oldest sister. She has always been the tall thin beautiful one. She is a beautician so she always looks like she stepped out of a fashion magazine. I have been told that twice now so that is the highlight for me since my surgery. Sally

I think my support people telling me how proud they are of my accompolishments would be the best.

I don't know about special, but it sure was unique! My friend who hadn't seen me in a while walked into the bowling alley where I was, and said I lost a whole Backstreet Boy. LOL

A week after surgery I had a gal I had only seen two weeks before my surgery come up to me and saw wow!! you look like you have lost 20 pounds already. I said yup I have lost 18. I was like wow you really can tell that fast.

hmmmm so many... but I think it's when my boyfriend tells me (every day!) that I'm his beautiful girlfriend... I used to say no.. I'm not.. but I've learned to just say thank you!

When I reached 7 months post op my husband finally told me how proud he was.

My son told me that some of his friends saw me, and told him I had lost a ton of weight and looked good. And that was like 35 lbs ago, so I can imagine what they would say now. Vivienne

Honestly, what makes me feel the best is that almost everyone who tells me how good I look adds, "But you were always beautiful no matter what your size was" ... this compliment means more to me than others for some reason... makes me realize I really was good enough 140+lbs ago, just not HEALTHY enough!
