Having lost the weight, I have really come to enjoy shopping. I used to HATE shopping, but not anymore. In fact, I think I need an intervention . . .

I agree with Debi and Lori. I expected the changes, but when I look in the mirror, I still see the old me. Logically, I know it can't be, I'm in smaller clothes, but my mind still sees the big me. On a more positive note, I think, I do enjoy shopping now, when before I hated clothes shopping for myself. Jules

I know this seems pretty dumb but I really thought I would get asked out on a few dates once I was thinner and I haven't and I find that a little unexpected. Guess maybe I still give off the "vibes" of being a fat women and undesirable. Not really sure. Sally

The fact that I am still very flexible. I thought that since I had not used some of those muscles for many years that they had gotten "shorter" and "stiffer" but not so.

I'm surprised by how easy it's been. I guess that's easy to say almost 7 months out...the first month was rough, but since then things have been smooth sailing. I was really surprised too, by the fact that my tastes have changed...I actually like things with more flavor now -- hot sauces, sharp cheese, dry white wine. The other thing that surprised me was how I don't see myself on the outside any differently than I did 300 pounds ago.
