I have a couple of friends who have been through the surgery so I also turn to them when I have questions or little silly wows' that I know only a WLS alumni will understand Lori

I have one friend that is 4 years post-op, another that is 3-4 years post-op that I talk to. I also just started going to a wls support group. I live in the middle of nowhere so I have to drive almost 40 minutes to get to the closest support meeting, which at $3.97 a gallon is difficult, and when the roads are icy and snowy I don't travel if I can avoid it. But mostly I use the MN OH board and my doc/nut. I've made some really wonderful friends on the board and have met quite a few of them so far!

I tend to lean on my close friends I've meet over the past year that have had the same surgery I do. They are able to answer so many questions for me!! Michele

I get most of my information off Obesity Help or at my support group meeting. I have been introduced to a new resourse called beyondchange-obesity.com. As soon as I can afford it I am going to subscribe to their newsletter. They have some wonderful articles on their website also. I also get a monthly newletter via e-mail from Barbara Thompson who is a WLS expert. If I need info regarding vitimans I go to vitalady.com. I also belong to about 4 yahoo groups re: WLS and I read what people post on their also. Sally
