Besides ice cream!!!!
My whole family enjoys Charlie's pumpkin fluff. I sometimes put it in a pie shell to make a pie or prepare it in 1/2 cup containers for a quick grab for myself & the kids ~ too small a serving for DH though he has to eat 2 or 3! Add a dolup of whip topping and dessert is perfect for us all.
1 sm box sf jell-o, any flavor (my fav = orange)
1 sm box sf white choc pudding
1/2 container of sf cool whip (4oz)
fresh or light canned fruit diced
Make the jell-o according to the box. Slowly add in the pudding, stirring with a whisk to get out all the lumps. Set aside on the counter for 15 - 20 minutes, no less than 15 or it will separate when put in fridge. Add the 4oz of cool whip, stirring with the whis****il smooth. Add fruit, put in individual containers, put in fridge.
YUMMY! I've even brought this to work and shared with the guys at work. They have no idea it's low fat, low sugar, low cal, low carb. It has the texture of mousse.
My sister gave me this recipe. I call it "Lorrie's salad".
1 sm container ff cottage cheese
1 package sf jello
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
1 sm container sf cool whip
Mix the cottage cheese and jello powder together. Add oranges and then stir in the cool whip. Refriderate. My husband and teenage sons love this. Sometimes I will also add drained pineapple. Yummo. Jules
Occasionally when I'm craving chocolate, I will make sugar free instant chocolate pudding with skim milk. The first time I made it after surgery, the kids saw it in the fridge and BEGGED to have some. I reluctantly agreed (so they would think it was a really big treat). Now, they ask for it all the time. It's a good source of calcium and there's no sugar in it, so it's perfect and easy!
