Daily Post--5/19 and 5/20
The response that has meant the most to me was just a few weeks ago from a guy at work. He's a crabby guy that never gives compliments to any one for any reason. At the time, my weight loss was at 77lbs. He asked me about my weight loss. We talked for about 10 minutes. He told me I looked good the way I am and that I did not need to lose any more weight. End of discussion.
I know it sounds kind of strange I would chose this one. But I've worked with him for almost 7 years and this is the very first time he ever complimented me and ever had a real conversation with me. I felt very special that he would open up to me and that he was kind and not at all crabby!
So many people have said so many wonderful things to me that it's hard to say which was the best. But, I think it would have to be my father. He was dead set against me having the surgery because he was afraid I would either die in surgery or regret it afterwards. After I had lost about 60-70 lbs., we were out one day and he said to me "I guess you were right. The surgery was a good idea for you." My dad is a man of few words so that was a lot coming from him!
hmmmm....there have been so many with equal levels of support that I cant name just one, my daughter, reading group (6 friends), prayer group (6 friends), boyfriend and several coworkers...they have all been their cheering me on and being so supportive of my efforts. I am truly thankful for the wonderful support system God has placed in my life
