I liked this question...made me think of and remember comments people have said to me over the past 6 months. But the one comment that really made me feel great was from my primary care physician. I went to my clinic to have some lab work done and my doctor walked by and turned around and came up to me and said "You look absolutely fabulous!" I have heard some great, complimentary comments but the way my doctor came back to me just to tell me that and how she said it made me feel so proud. A busy doctor took the time to tell me she was proud of me. That was special.
I've had so many compliments that it's hard to choose. My PCP and GYN both told me how good I looked and how much healthier I had become, and that really felt good. But I think my friend/co-worker made me feel the best when she said that I no longer "stood out" anymore, which is something I really wanted. I hated always feeling like the biggest person in the room, so that comment meant a lot to me.
It's tough to pin it down to just one person - in the past two years, there have been so many awesome compliments! I think it may have been when my brother came to visit when I was about a year out. He lives 1100 miles away, and we see each other three or four times a year. He got out of his car, and I was walking toward him - he said "wow - I wouldn't have recognized you - you're so tiny!". That was amazing...
