Easy aspect..for the first time in my life I have a feeling of fullness...it helps keep on track..before I could gorge myself and gorge myself..no more..or I'll be hugging the porcelain thrown.

Admitting to people that I had the surgery has been a lot easier than I expected. Also, losing the first 100 lbs. was wayyyyy easier than I had anticipated. However, getting past the 100 lb. mark has not been as easy.

I am surprised by lots of things. I am surprised by how quickly the weight has come off. I thought it would take at least 9 months or more to lose 100 pounds. I had my RNY on 11/28/07 and I've already lost 100 pounds!! I'm surprised about my new relationship with food, I eat better and I enjoy it! I'm surprised by my energy level and my desire to exercise and I'm surprised how my mental attitude has changed. I used to be so self conscious and didn't socialize, not I seek out activities and I've completely let go of caring about what others think about me. I know I still need to lose 35-40 pounds but I guess it's because I know I will finally achieve my goals I have let go of making myself feel bad because I'm not there yet!

I was surprised at ow easy it actually has been for me. I haven't struggled much at all - there are days I deal with a few food issues but over all so far so good! Lori

Although I would argue with anyone who said this IS the easy way out, I have to say, it's been fairly easy. Aside from the need to completely change my habits, buy eight new wardrobes, and learn a whole new way of life, it hasn't been that hard! Considering the payoff, I'd do it again in a split second, if I had to. I am surprised at how much better food tastes now than it did before - because I'm eating better food? Or because I appreciate what little I eat now?

Things have gone really smoothly for me. I'm feeling pretty blessed! I'm actually surprised by well it's all going and by just how easy it seems, so far anyway!

I would have to say that how quickly the weight melted off in the beginning made it easy to be compliant. Now that the weight doesn't budge so easily and I can eat just about anything I want (nothing makes me sick) I find the last 3 months have been harder then the first three months. For me exercising is still not "easy" and I have accepted that it is never going to be. Sally

I've found it easy to maintain my daily exercises. I enjoy that hour to two hours of me time!

So far, this has been a smooth journey with a few tough moments. I am blessed. Jules
