I kept the shirt that I had on for my pre op pic, but have given away all larger clothes. Vivienne

I have saved several sweatshirts and I wear them at night even though they come down to my mid-thigh. I've also saved a few items my Mom gave me before she passed away ~ my favorite being a salmon colored fleece LL Bean shirt. They are comfy.

Nope I didn't save anything but I think my daughter saved a pari of pants just to "remind" her of where she has come from. Sally

I saved one pair of jeans. Mostly because people told me I should. And you know what...with the crazy way I'm feeling today -- like I'm not noticing a difference when I look in the mirror -- I should go put them on right now!! That sounds like fun!

Yes I did...it was take one year pictures in them on my anniversary which was 1/31/08 and I still have not taken pics in them yet....but I am getting closer to get those pictures taken and then I will give them away. It was a only a few outfits that I had pictures in pre op and wanted to have the comparison shots. Other than that..I gave all my fat clothes away and boy did it feel good.

I kept the outfit I wore to the hospital on surgery day - it was always one of my favorite! Months later, my daughter found them in her room (don't ask - her room looks like a cyclone hit it!) and wrote a note that says "Soooo proud of you!" and put them in my room... that felt good. I also saved a shirt that has embroidered butterflies on it - my nephew (who's now 6) used to love that shirt when he was a baby - he'd touch it and say "BFLY" whenever I wore it - and I cried when I tried to throw it away. I kept the shirt that I wore to my daughter's graduation - another old favorite of mine. I thought about cutting them all up and making a quilt, but honestly - I don't want a quilt made up of bad memories. So they're hanging in my closet (it's a huge walk-in, so there's plenty of room!), and they'll probably always be there. Everything else I have given away through the years and aside from these few mementos, all I have in my closet is a size 8 or smaller.

Yes.........just to remind myself on days when I want to eat everything that holds still long enough for me to grab.
