Daily Post--4/16 and 4/17/08
I go to school full time, and I bring my lunch everyday just so I can avoid trying to find something edible for me in the cafeteria. If anyone asks I tell them the truth. Most of the people that would ask know now, so I haven't had many problems. Now... in July, hubby and I are going to Australia... maybe I need to check with the airline to see what they will serve. Thanks for the question because I never would have thought about that!!!
So far so good. I can usually find something I can eat. I've been pretty blessed--nothing really makes me sick. I can eat a half a slice of pizza, or eat the filling out of a sub and be fine. I don't go to a lot of social gatherings though, and the ones I do go to are generally given by family so they make sure they have at least one health selection. I always bring a bottle of water these days too.
Some days though, I do "wish" I could eat like the old me--just for the fun of it--but most of the time I'm finding the benefits of feeling better and looking better makes it worth it!
I find I can eat almost anything and somedays when Im in this situation I will have something that is not exactly on the good side but for the most part I try to modify whatever it is that is available to something that is good for me to eat but I do realize that one meal isn't gonna turn around everything Ive worked for all this time so I dont beat myself up for eating something I shouldnt have and I move on to the next meal.... I always carry my vitamins and water with me wherever I go.
