Has your grocery bill gone up or down since surgery? Why do you think that is??

I think it's gone up. With supplements and trying new protein items, recipes....But I think when I level off and it's not so new to me anymore that it will go down.....

I agree, the grocery bill has gone up, but the eating out bill has gone down!!!

My grocerie bill has gone up.Eating healthy costs more then junk food.But lets face it everything is going up these days.

I think it has stayed about the same,,instead of stuff like frozen pizza now I buy healthy stuff though, so the content has changed. Blessings Betsy

It has gone up because the better quality foods cost more than the fat-packed stuff.

Well it had gone down a lot when it was just me and my daughter who also had the surgery, but my oldest daughter moved in with me and now I am spending more then ever........lol. Sally

Mine has gone up...between the healthy foods and the vitamins and the protein drinks. But it is money well spent.

I think mine has gone down. I used to buy just enough for my menu plan for the week and it seems these days that I have surplus in the freezer...probably about 2 weeks worth of menus at any given time. I haven't quite got the hang of shopping for 2.4 instead of 3 So I've gotten really good at using up left overs! Good thing hubby likes leftovers!!

Don't forget to take into account the things you are not paying anymore--like, in my case, about $100 a month in prescription copays! That $100 more than covers the vitamins and the protein bars I eat... Lea
