Daily Post--4/2/08
I weigh myself once a day, first thing in the morning. I've calmed down a bit since buying a new scale and will only step on it once each day. I had a whole system worked out before, since I thought I had broken the scale when I was over the actual limit on it.
I keep saying I should take measurements, but never have.

I weigh myself at least a couple of times a week right after my shower.... I usually dont eat or drink anything before hand so that I have a true measurement of my weight.... I have never taken my measurements... I regret not doing that before surgery so I would have had a starting point but Im just happy the scale goes down!
I weigh myself every day. I know that's not recommended in general, but it's what works for me. It keeps me honest, which is another motivator. I don't get down on myself if the scale goes up a bit, and I celebrate when it goes down. I don't do formal measurements often, I go more by how my clothes fit, which is why I don't get down on myself if the scale bumps up a bit, or stays in the same place for a while.
Most of the time I only weigh myself once a week on Friday's since I had my surgery on a Friday. I have gotten on the scale once in a while during the week but try hard not to. I have read several trains of thought on weighing daily. I've read that people that weigh daily keep their weight off better than people that weigh once a week. I too am one of those persons that knew when I was gaining weight I would stay off the scale and the weight just kept creeping up. My thought now is that I will try to weigh only once a wee****il I reach my goal and then to maintain my goal I will weigh daily. I did take my measurements the day before my surgery and I do them monthly on my surgerversary.
I weigh now when I think about it. Right after surgery I was weighing every day. I wander into the bathroom, do my morning stuff, strip and weigh myself. It got to be a pain because if one little thing is off I know it so I skip weighing. Now I weigh once maybe twice a week. Just when I think about it first thing.
As for measurements. I know when the scale isn't moving the tape is I generally measure a couple of times a month if I think of it
