Yes, my knees would scream daily and I was taking literally a handful of Advils to get through the day (not to mention the one step at a time stair crawl).
No knee pain now (I do at least 30 minutes of exercise/walking daily) and although I'm still a bit cautious going down stairs (I do do it "regular-style" now) I skip right up them without any pain or being out of breath.
I used to have extreme problems with foot pain before surgery and couldn't walk a block in town without feeling a pain level of 10 on a scale of 1-10. Now I can walk and walk and walk!!! It's wonderful!!
But I do have some pain in my right knee now that I didn't have before. I still haven't done anything about it and don't take pain meds but it is there most of the time. I can still walk just fine but I just figured the pain is from getting old. Hahaha

I've had problems for years. Carpal in both wrists that they thought would be alleviated. nope, still there.
My neurosurgeon told me to lose weight to help my back. almost 100 lbs gone and it's worse than ever. Is it due to the weight? I think the damage was done and it's going to take at least that long to be un-done.
My doc said some of it may be due to a change in gait... I carry myself different now.
We shall see!

I never really had joint pain before surgery.... although right before surgery I started getting pain in my right knee and it has stuck around so Im not really sure what that is from.... Besides that I don't have any pain and Im happy that I had my surgery early in life otherwise I know I would have wound up with all sorts of damage to my joints the way I was going.....
