Wow, what a day... I would normally have put this post up on Tues evening (3/11), but forgot in my shuffle to get ready for a training on Weds. Then, I returned home on Weds evening to find that I had no electricity! SO, here I am on Thursday afternoon just posting the Weds and Thurs daily posts! FOR THAT REASON, everyone who is an active member of the challenge right now gets a free pass for Weds. You will all get credit for a post! And, today's topic (Thursday) is based upon my experience last night! What is the one food/drink item that you find you simply can't live without? If your power was out, what item would you miss dearly??? For me, it was hard deciding how to feed my daughter with no way to cook and nothing but ham/turkey coldcuts on hand for sandwiches. We don't DO sandwiches! We're so spoiled by having a hot, prepared meal every night that the thought of having to have a cold sandwich for dinner was scary! LOL So, I found that while there was no one single food or drink item I couldn't live without ****il I ran out of iced tea that is), the fact that I was limited only to COLD food items (whatever was in or could fit in an ice chest), was hard! I don't even eat my pepperoni cold--I crisp it in the microwave! LOL Lea

Wow, that's a tough one. I guess that my answer would change from time to time. Right now, I really look forward to my protein drink every morning. I think my day would not get off on the right foot if I didn't start out with that. Of course, there was a time, not too long ago, when I couldn't even think of putting another one in my mouth without gagging. I may get to that point again sometime, but right now, I would say that my protein drink is the most important item on my food/drink list right now.

OMG! Everything! I start every morning with my protein drink and then I would have to have my oven to cook my fish or my microwave to cook my veggie burgers. I don't know what I would do if my power went out?? I guess I'd be forced to go to the store and buy lunch meat! I hope I don't have to find out what I would do! LOL

For me right now I would say Hormel chili with cheese...for some reason it sits just wonderfully in my stomach and I feel really good after I eat it...also, Sugar Free International coffees...the Mocha...my night cap these days! Glad to hear your power is restored and life is resuming back to normal!

Hmmm...I guess I'd really miss Raspberry Ice Crystal light, decaffe tea, nutrasweet, and my oatmeal. I stopped to think about what things I'd pack to be sure I had them with me and those were the things that came to mind. Being without electricity would be NO fun though! I'm with you, I always prepare a hot meal for dinner.

My coffee and soup I have for lunch. I need both of those daily.

Sounds like you had your hands full. I'd have to say my protein shake, because that would keep me going like nothing else would.

I know this is not a good answer but for me it would be coffee. Full flavored, fresh brewed with home ground coffee bean coffee black. What can I say, I"m hooked. Sally
