How's THIS for different? How has your sex drive changed and how has that affected your relationship (s) ? For those further out, when can we expect our drive to come back?

Still in the beginning phase. Don't have a comment to offer. I'm still tired a lot. :o(

Well with my current husband there isn't much sex going on. There wasn't much sex going on before surgery and now I think there is even less (if that's possible). Ok this probably sounds really bad but I really want to have sex all the time but my husband just isn't into it. So I don't think the sex between us has changed all that much but the change has been with me...I just would like to do it all the time (but need a partner for that). Does this make any kind of sense or am I just rambling? Michelle

This question doesn't really apply to me.... prior to WLS, there was no relationship - for a long, long time... I'm in a new relationship - and I have the drive, but we're not quite there yet.

Well, I can certainly tell you that my HUSBAND'S sex drive increased! Mine decreased, and after 3 1/2 yrs., it is still less than before. We definitely have sex a lot more frequently, but it's because of him. It's easier (logistically!), and I think because of the difference in how I look, he feels like we're young again! Amazingly, I'm almost more self-conscious about my body now than I was at almost 300 lbs. The saggy, wrinkly, ripply skin/boobs/etc., make me feel gross. In my head, I know it's a lot better than how I looked when I was so big, but it sure ain't pretty!

Well..my husbands sex drive has increased...he was never at a loss of drive..but now he "asks" for sex and even followed me to the basement where I was doing laundry to tell me he wanted me...Unfortunately, for him (and me) I have NO drive to speak of...didn't b4 surgery and still don't post-surgery...this is becoming a problem for us and I am going to have to do something about it...unfortunately, the fact that I am on high dose Paxil doesn't help...nor does the fact that having two kids with exploding social lives and no alone time help either. Before, I could have a glass of wine, relax and get in the mood...now, with the wine out of the question I would much rather just go to sleep...boy do I sound like a dream mate or what??? Good grief!

Well, I have the drive, but no one in my life right now. I am worried about the sagging skin and deflated chest - I wonder how a man will react that? But with my clothes on I feel pretty now and flirtatious. I never felt that way before. I guess I am a lot more secure and my self esteem is up.

Okay, it's crazy through the roof... it's like I'm 23 again... unfortunately my BF isn't where I am... there are issues... it is nice to have the old libido back and full force... don't know how long this will last... so might as well enjoy it... lol!!!
