about your weight loss journey or do you feel it's a private thing? I'm in a support group and one lady is very private about her loss. As for me, I'm all over it. I've got several co-workers who are telling me how great I look and then ask me if I am feeling ok? LOL Erin

I know there's a wide difference in how people feel about this. I never for a moment considered NOT telling people! I was 54 at the time of my wls, and after spending my entire adult life MO, I was practically shouting it from the rooftops! My immediate & extended family, my friends, my co-workers, my church family--everyone was very supportive and happy for me--and any of them that maybe weren't had the good grace to keep their mouths shut, so I never knew! I was/am very PROUD that I had wls! I was/am not proud that I was MO all those years and that I got to the point that I NEEDED it, but nevertheless, I was so grateful and happy to be having it that it truly never occurred to me to try to keep it secret. Still love talking about it IF/WHEN it comes up. (I am not obnoxious about bringing it up myself and would certainly never intentionally be insensitive about it--like giving unsolicited info about it to anyone who is MO.) Jo

I tell everyone and anyone who comments on my loss. It feels dishonest to take credit for it as if I did it all on my own.
