I really only socialize with the opposite sex at one place. I have noticed that the men that are in couples, that I have known for years.. comment and compliment. Any that are single and/or come in there without their mate, don't say anything.. probably afraid that I will think they are hitting on me.
Take care all. Alice
OMG - SOOOOOO different. I try to convince myself that much of the new attention is due to my own self-confidence and sunny attitude, but I doubt that all of it can be attributed to this.
I am also in my 40s (for a few more years), but I get a lot of male attention now! I began dating for the first time in years about six months ago, and I've found an amazing man - and the really cool thing is that he thinks HE'S the lucky one! I am so blessed to have found him - and it just floors me that he's PROUD to introduce me as his girlfriend!
I have received some great attention from men but i don't know if it is because I have lost 80 pounds or if it's because I have more self-confidence now that I have lost 80 pounds. No matter, tho, I am married and very happy with my hubby. He treated me like a queen before my weight loss and still does....although he is proud of what I have accomplished and tells me so. He has started his own weight loss program and exercise program and i am supporting him with lots of attention too!

For the first time in a long time I actually had a guy do the double take, you know where you look at someone and then turn and look at them again. After that he got in line behind me at the grocery store. I dunno if it was my imagination or not but it seemed like he was into me. Oh and today when I went to outpatient surgery to have my kidney stone zapped the girl gave me the gown and then apologized to me for it being so big....lol No one ever apologized before so that made me feel good Kellie
I guess I would have to say no change that I am aware of. I am still single and have not been asked out or flirted with by anyone of the opposite sex. I admit I don't get anywhere to have that happen, but did put a profile on a dating site and nothing. I figure if it is meant to be it will happen. Since I am not looking to just go out and "have fun" like so many of the opposite sex are looking for, I would rather just continue to be ignored rather then deal with that whole issue.
