I have excess skin - my tummy, thighs, arms and neck. My breasts, though not big, are deflated to the point that they look like raisins. It bothers me, yes, but I will try to get some plastic surgery done to fix it (especially my tummy and arms). I would never, ever go back to being heavy like I was before to avoid having loose skin. That is a no-brainer!
I've lost about 70 pounds and I have bat wings and wrinkly thighs and hanging belly skin and all that fun stuff, but I can live with it. I FEEL so much better and that stuff is easy to cover up. The one thing that bothers me a little is my wrinkly neck. But there's nothing I can do about that...so will make thie best of it.
I do have some skin swagging under the arms! I can handle that, but I will never wear a short sleeve or sleevless shirt again. I had a 5th grade boy who rides the bus I drive tell me I need to exercise my arms because they are flabby.
I have been using 3# weights to help tone some but its not going to fix it. I am just glad my neck isn't sagging! The legs and tummy have some issues but I can hide them!
Like you Lea plastic will not be an option. So I am happy with what I will have in the end. Healthy is better and day then a fat body! So its saggy or fatty? Yep I'll take saggy!
I like others have lots of floppy skin. My arms were bad before..O WELL..I have a friend that had arm surgery..years ago..and unless the proceedure has changed ... she has big ugly scars..about 3/4 " or bigger so still has to cover them up.
The tummy perhaps in the future if there is problems and Medicare will pay for it..
What bothers me is the Turkey neck. Perhaps I would like something done with that. I have a very generous son .. that wants his Mom to be a "GUY MAGNET"! LOL
Time will tell. But I am so happy to be able to move pain free and feel good. That I really don't care. Alice
When I started this journey, I always said that plastics would not be in the cards for me - that I wasn't concerned about the hanging skin... little did I know what the weight loss would do to my breasts! OMG! I would LOVE To have that fixed, but it probably won't happen.
There is no question that I'd rather sag than be MO. I can cover most of this, but there's no covering a 335-lb. body!
My boyfriend's friends (who have no clue about my history) say I'm "tiny". I find it funny that that's what they notice about me first.
I was self-concious about all this skin at first, but I warned him! His response was that my "beauty" was formed from everything about me - within and without - and that he doesn't see anything wrong with my body! Wow...
