I shopped online and on tv... lol!!! I was in a bad way post-op as my back had been wrenched. Talking to close friends helped. I realized I place a lot of stress on myself, it's my personality make-up. I need to give myself time.

I just tried to remind myself that I had just had major surgery and that I was suppose to be tired. That I needed to spend more time resting and that when I got tired I stopped and rested and didn't try to fight it. Sally

I have felt wonderful since about day three. But about every three or four weeks I'll have a rest day on a Saturday and just do nothing except what has to be done. I nap, read and rest. That charges me up for another few weeks. I dunno for sure if that's anything other than a re-set because of my crazy life!

For me, when the fatigue hits, I lay down and rest. I owe it to myself to take care of this new tool, and soon to be new body. Vivienne

When I exersice I have a LOT more energy throughout the day so I really just try to get to the gym every day to make sure that I am making the most of this. Like another poster said, they give in to it. I do the same. Even if I do work out, I may still get tired so if possible, I take a nap, go to bed early, sleep late etc. LB

Walk as much as you can tolerate, stop and rest when you get tired. Sip on fluids all day. Vitamins are a great help too.

Exercising always helped me. Nothing obsessive, just 10 minutes or so at a time. Got the heart pumping and the blood flowing through the extremities.

I do not remember having any issues with fatigue. I had surgery in June, we went to the pool almost daily at about 6 days out from surgery. I just sat at the side of the kiddy pool, but I was out and about every day.

Taking it easy and knowing your limits. When you start to feel tired don't overdue yourself and try to do more. Allow your body time to work up to things because one day very soon you'll surprise yourself and not realize that you're doing more.
