Daily Post--2/15/08
Last weekend, my sister and I went to Las Vegas (for fun, this time). On the way out of town on Sunday, we stopped to get some drinks for the road, and I got a coffee drin****d and blended. It was not my normal drink, and it obviously had lots of sugars in it - and about 20 miles later, I started talking nonsense. I repeated myself over and over - it was very much like when I get ill and can't concentrate. A few minutes later, I basically passed out. My sister said she thought I was sleeping (I'm known for that on long drives). I "slept" for more than two hours, and when I woke, I was fine, but thirsty.
It's happened before with sugars, but never to that extent.

I have not had any really bad reactions... umm wait.. When I ate KFC.. omg the grease almost killed me,, sick.. sick and pains.. never will eat that again...
Well, I FERVENTLY wish I dumped on high-sugar or high-fat foods; however, I do not.
If I eat A LOT of really sugary junk at one time, I do feel a little queazy but not enough to deter me permanently. The only thing that has given me slightly more significant problems is the premium full-fat specialty ice creams. Had it pretty bad twice from that, so if I indulge in it at all (extremely infrequently), I have just a couple bites.
I truly LONG FOR the first 1 1/2 yrs. post-op when I did not eat any junk--I feared that I would dump AND I also feared that I WOULD NOT!
