Today's topic is a bit of a twist on the norm... We talk often about how happy we are with the outcome of our surgery and we discuss things we can do as postops that we couldn't do preop. BUT, what has been the most disappointing thing about losing weight for you? Lea

The whole skin issue! I wish I was younger and my skin had more elasticity. Plastic surgery is DEFINITELY in my future. Cheers!

Skin. My Dr. told me that even thought I am 32 it will never go back no matter how much I exersize. Her husband does plastic surgery for most of her patients. She said skin only goes back if you are in your early 20's. My skin is also extraamly dry on my face now and no amount of oil of olay will fix this.

Even though I look very young for my age and have nice skin... it'll need a tune-up. lbl/ba due late spring... not looking forward to the pain...

I have to say that it's the skin issue. I'm not stuck with a lot of loose skin and I'm sure a lot of wls patients would say what are you complaining about, that's not a lot but to me it's very ugly. I'm afraid I wont be able to tighten it up at least a little and I sure can't afford plastic surgery. Exersizing is limited for my because of my hip and back problems. I feel like any man is going to say OMG I can't handle this, but even more I'm the one that can't handle it.

Ummmm...not being able to binge on a saturday night? Ha ha. Ok, that's not so disappointing after all!! Cause there are so many other fun things to do a on Saturday night now!! So far all is well in my world. No real disappointments. I know I'm gonna have the skin issue in a while, and I'll be disappointed in myself for letting it get so out of control, but not much I can do about hat now.

I can say that nothing about it has been disappointing.I'm not to happy about the sagging skin, but I knew it was part of the deal.Hopefully I'll be able to get some of it fixed as soon as I reach my final goal weight. Patti

I suppose the skin issue, but I think that will be later on. Right now, it's the "head hunger" thing. I'm having a hard time with it right now. Jules
