I'm fortunate (or unfortunate, depending on how you look at it, I guess) that I don't seem to have an issue with any foods. However, occasionally, I will eat something that must either have too much fat or sugar and I feel awful. My stomach feels icky and I actually feel lethargic and need to lie down. I take these events as learning experiences and remember to stay away from those foods in the future.
I can eat most anything now, in moderation. When I dump its bad. I have dumped from one sip of RC cola to take a pill, I have dumped from no sugar added cereal, and from carmel corn.. that was a doosey.
I try to avoid things that I know will make me dump, if I really want something I take two bites and savor them, so I can avoid dumping.
I'm one of the lucky or unlucky ones depending on how you look at it.I can eat just about anything. The only thing that really bothers me is real spicy food, but I couldn't eat them before surgery either. There are certain food I just don't eat, like fried foods or very many sweets.I try to limit my carbs, and of course the amount I can eat at one time is limited.

I'm always amazed when people say "I'm one of the lucky ones who don't dump on anything . . ."! I do know how they mean it, but I consider myself VERY UNLUCKY that I don't dump on the "bad" things, whether sugary or fat. Mind you, I would not want to be one of the unfortunate ones who have problems with lots of normal foods in addition to the bad ones, but I would LOVE to have the "advantage" of dumping on inappropriate choices I make!
At 3 1/2 yrs. out, I do still have to make sure I eat chicken & fish slowly enough and chew very well. Otherwise, I get a yuck feeling--just a heavy, uncomfortable feeling and a little of the "foamy mouth" and a runny nose!
Absolutely the only thing that has made me feel really sick to the point that I had to go to bed is the really high-fat specialty ice cream. It's only happened twice, mainly because I'm not normally a big ice cream eater & have only indulged those couple times. The effect it had on me both times really surprised me because I've certainly eaten plenty of other high-fat and/or high sugar treats with (unfortunately) no problems.
