Daily Post--1/26/08
I'm a beef girl for sure, love me some med-rare red meat!!! I have a good friend (also a postop) who loves steak the same way so we split one a lot when we go out to eat. YUMMO!!!
I also like the steak in steak tacos from Taco bell added to the pintos and cheese. And the Sirloin Steak melt at Jack in the Box. It has melted cheese and onions and I just eat it off the bread and it is so tender and great!!!!
I eat a lot of cheese, deli meat smeared with a little cream cheese and a pickle rolled together, fage yogurt, and cottage cheese. I use the ww low carb tortillas if I want a wrap. I buy this london broil deli sliced meat at Henrys. It is so yummy, rare and tender and makes great wraps!!! Costco has a great Panko breaded Tilapia too that I love!!
My favorite protein snack is one I made up and it is great! It is kind of sweet and salty and full of protein. I just have to be sure to portion it because it is addicting. I take Kashi Go Lean cereal (not the Crunch one, too much sugar) and mix it with peanuts or cashews (you could use any nut). It is one cup of Ka****o 1/4 cup of nuts and it is sooo good!!!! I'm sure you could add like raisins or craisins too to make it more of a trail mix kind of thing. Sometimes I also add the Vanilla almonds. You should try it, but be ready to be addicted!!! hee hee
