Daily Post--1/24/08

I've been a bad buddy - I don't have alot of time (I thought I would) and since I work on my compter all day at work I tend not to sign on mine at home - Plus I would have to fight my husband to use it. My apologies to my current buddies - i'll try to be be better at keeping in contact. - It would be nice tho to connect with others who are a bit out farther (I'm at 4.5 years) or want to get back on track together after falling off the wagon - just an idea. Thanks.

I feel that I could have been a better buddy. I have had lots of personal things to take care of in the past 2 weeks that are out of my control. I will try to do better.

My buddy and I seem to have had really busy and conflicting schedules lately. So we haven't been able to keep in touch like we would have liked and probably even intended. I still think it's good to get to know new people.

I think the buddy idea was a good one, but I would suggest assigning new buddies for those that want them. It is a good way to meet new people.

I think my buddy and I are having a hard time keeping in contact with each other. I haven't heard from her in a while, and I did not save any of her emails to have easy access to her. I think we both flopped on each other, but not intentionally. Denise

Hi Lea Here I am again...posting late! My buddy and I were doing fine but lately I have been so busy! I guess I would like to meet new people by having a new buddy each time. Like others have said, you can still keep in touch with old buddies anyway. Jolene

Good question! One thing we may want to consider is does a person want a buddy or a mentor? I enjoy mentoring newbies because I've been there and hope some of my experience can be helpful (also I mentor nw teachers so it's kind of second nature). sOME PEOPLE FARTHER OUT MIGHT WANT TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO IS AT THEIR STAGE ESPECIALLY if they are struggling.

I think everything is going great. I'd like to keep my buddy!

I enjoy talking with my buddy, though i am not as good as she is. I feel like i am letting her down. For the next challenge I think getting a different buddy would be good so we can meet more people. we can always stay in contact with our buddy from this round.
