We're going to stick with our body conversations a bit longer. Well, in a sense we are anyway... Todays question: What is the best comment you've received so far? For most this will be a body question as most of the comments we get are about how our body has changed. BUT, they are not all about that, so we'll see what everyone says!

I guess the best comment came from my kids. They looked at me the other day and said you know Mom, we never thought you were "fat", but now that you've lost all this weight, you are really skinny!!! You not only look good Mom, but you are so much happier and that makes us happy. I almost cried to think that my kids not only saw my physical changes, but my mental changes as well.

I haven't really gotten many comments yet. I've lost 50 but I was so big I think it's going to take losing more before more people start to notice. But I did have a girlfriend I hadn't seen in a couple months say that I looked really good and she could really tell that I had lost weight! So that made me feel good. It's always nice to get some acknowlegement (not that I need it) but it's still nice.
But the nicest comment by far has come from my kids. They told me how happy they were for me and that they were proud of me!! It doesn't get any better than that!!
I've been getting a few "wow, you look great"s...but last night I got my favorite. My 24 year old son stopped by...haven't seen him in a couple of weeks and said, "Wow. Mom, you look so different! I don't think I've ever seen you like this before." (He's seen me diet over the years and lose a few pounds here and there.)
Oh...and hubby said, "What's up Slim?" this morning...that was kinda fun too!
That I'm an attractive, intelligent and inspiring woman.
Basically that my beauty shines through from the inside and
I'm an inspiration to those around me.
Since my external appearance has changed so dramatically and has been the focus
for many, I'm taking to heart the comments on my internal being. I like to be admired for
who I am and what I stand for.
Looks fade, while inner beauty stays for a lifetime.

The complements I have gotten have been about my eyes. they have said that my eyes seem brighter and that they can tell the weight of the world has been removed from my shoulders. I have always had a happy attitude with people but I didn't realize my eyes were telling them the truth. To me this is better then "oh my gosh look at you, you look great. be careful the wind might blow you away.(this part is in joking)"
