Good to hear it went well and that she's on the mend How convient that there's no school tomorrow though, so she has another day -- hopefully by Tuesday she won't be needing the Lortab!!

I'm not sure whether I am flirted with more now than before because I'm only 1/2 way through my journey. However, I did see my ex-fiance recently and he kept staring at me. Even though he had seen me fairly recently, he said there was just something "different" about how I looked now (in a good way) and he just wasn't sure what it was. I seem to be getting that reaction a lot. Maybe it will turn into more flirting at some point, who knows. I'm excited to see what the future holds.

I don't really hang out anywhere to be flirted with so I don't have an exact answer but I know I feel like I am treated differently. I feel more welcome at gatherings. I feel more accepted. The problem is that a lot of this may be in my own head. It may be a lot of me just knowing that now I "fit in". Carla

I haven't experienced anyone treating me different. But I'm a homebody, I don't go out much. The only people I see frequently are family members. Always been that way though, and I don't think losing weight will change that much. "I'm a loner Dottie, a rebel" - Peewee Cheers!

I've been flirting with a guy from work for a few months now and sometimes he gets a little forward. I've been told by many of the guys at work how great I look now, how I'm wasting away to nothing, one guy told me I look hot-then justified it by saying "not that you didn't look good before." Made me laugh, you can tell he's been married a LONG time... Anyway, the one single guy that flirts-I'm so hoping he'll notice me flirting back and ask me out on a date!!! Most of the women I know are very complimentary, a few I think are jealous. I don't know how else to describe it. You would think as women we would support each other instead of tearing each other down. I am definitely more outgoing and happy and confident and comfortable now than I was before. I feel great about myself now!

I could only wish for a man to filrt with me..........lol. I can't really say that people treat me any differently then they did before. Maybe part of it is because I don't have that much interation with different people then I did before. Not really sure. Sally

I wouldn't say I have been flirted with, but I have definately been noticed or complimented more NOW than pre-op.

I get flirted with more, my husband gets complimented on me as a trophy once and a while. But for the most part it is still an occasional thing. I think I have doors opened for me, and I am acknowledged by men more with a smile or friendly chatter when I am in line or at a store, but I wear my marriage like a badge, I have photo printed dog tags that I wear and my kids go about everywhere with me, they also have photo printed dog tags so my appearance says "Taken" I absolutly belive that my appearance is more acceptable and therefore I get eye contact and smiles from both men and women.
