Well, I don't cook too often these days... but when it's something special or for guests... a lot of the times I don't use a recipe at all... When I'm in need of a recipe... I own, I'm guessing 100 specialty cookbooks... other than that I go to www.epicurious.com or www.foodnetwork.com or www.allrecipes.com
Thanks Lea... loving the Qs!!!

I find good recipes from Eggface's blog of course! Plus sometimes I do searches online for low fat, low carb and low sugar recipes. I've found some at kraftfoods.com and some on websites for diabetic recipes since I can't handle much sugar. My mom said she is going to buy me a splenda cookbook for my birthday! I can't wait to get it and try some of the recipes in it!!
Hi Lea!! I get a lot of recipes out of different cookbooks and I also go to www.weigh****chers.com and get recipes.

I generally start with one ingredient I have in my fridge or freezer and then go on line and do a general search for that ingredient and "recipes". It's amazing what you can come up with. I read quickly through the results to see if the recipes are ****asy and (2) contain healthy ingredients that I like. The website that seems to come up most frequently is "recipe.com" I think.
At 3 1/2 yrs. post-op, I mostly use my old recipes, but I frequently tweek them by using lower-fat versions of some of the ingredients (or omitting some). At 58 yrs. old, I've got quite a stash of recipes way back from my mom, church cookbooks, friends, and relatives.
I do enjoy Taste of Home magazine (and another of their magazines, Light & Tasty) and try out many of their recipes. Also, I get the free Kraft Foods magazine, which I love because the recipes are fast, easy, & good. (You can also go to www.kraftfoods.com for these.)
