Daily Post--1/15/08
I've been aiming for exercising 5 times a week - usually do cardio - WATP 4 mile walks and aim for 60 minutes of exercise. I've been told to add strength training and toning workouts. Thought I'd do the cardio for a couple of weeks to get back into the habit of exercising and add the others. As soon as I get up in the morning (M - F), i put on my workout clothes and just do it - thinking that i will add the strength training and toning every other day once I get home from work.

I'm suppose to do it everyday. but I usually only get in 2 days a week.. I do want some help with this.. need motovation !!!!
After lapsing during the holidays, I'm back to my normal routine. This time of year, I go to the gym at least 5 days a week, 6 preferably. I do 45-50 min. of cardio--a mixture of treadmill (my least favorite), elliptical (my favorite) & recumbent bike--and about 15-20 min. of weight machines and/or free weights.
When the weather is nice, I still go to the gym maybe 3 times a week, but I go out and walk on other days for about an hr. Also, I have a couple friends who like to bike ride 1 or 2 evenings a week, so we do that (NOT power biking, just casual) for about an hr. I am the one who cuts the grass (my dh used to, but I tell him I'd prefer to now, just for the exercise, and he's more than happy to oblige!), and at a pretty swift pace, that takes me about 40 min. or so.

In all honesty, I have not worked out in over a week. I really need to. I have a lot of muscle toning to do. I do have a bar bell class penciled in on Thursday, and a Buns, thighs and hips class on Friday. Everyday, I do try to get some cardio in. Especially now that I'm training for 2 endurance events.
