I will walk in place at the copier. Take the stairs to meetings. Walk in place at my desk when on a call.

Standing by a desk or counter and doing tricep dips...arms are a little flabby. When I work overnights and there is no one around, I do crunches, and try to watch some FitTV and I will work out a little with Gilad in the early morning.

I put on music and dance a little while I'm cooking dinner. A little wacky I know.

Ugh...the guilt trip here....other than Curves and wearing my pedometer to monitor how much I walk each day, I don't take advantage of an extra 5 minutes to exercise. I guess I do try to park my car away from the store entrances, though. Thanks for all the hints here !!! Jolene

Wow... shame on me! I do not work outside the home. I am a stay at home mom and part time nursing student. I will take away one thing so far from the posts. I love the idea of using the counter to do leaning push ups while I cook dinner. My arms need the most attention so I will start doing that daily. Actually I cook usually two meals a day, So I can try to incorporate that into my day a few times, maybe try to get in 100 reps daily. I usually shop (yes daily) I do not avoid the far spots but if there is a close one I take it. Great tips.... keep emm comin' If I could find one or two more that would be great. Ohh I do have stairs, maybe I can do a few deliberate trips up and down.

I don't know how aerobic it is..but at work in our kitchen area there is a poster on the bulletin board. While you are boiling tea water or waiting on coffee to brew you are supposed to stand and follow the chart to get your blood flowing and stop lethargy throughout the day. It encorporates the following: 1. neck rolls (side to side and all around. 2. bend at the side (both left and right) 3. bend at the waist and touch your toes - kinda hang out there for a few minutes 4. stretch your hands over your head - lean left and right. 5. repeat steps one thru four again. I don't know if many folks use it, cause whenever I look at it the little diagram man he has new "graphics" drawn on (ie: he is very well endowed, major bicups, huge nose, devil tail..you get the drift. I have done it a few times...but I kind feel foolish when someone walks in on me with my big ole' butt in the air...touching my toes..

I do the push ups on the counters sometimes and I usually park far out in parking lots. Thanks for all the great suggestions! Rhonda

I now park further away in the parking lot. Also I now do a whole circuit of Walmart instead of in and out of the grocery department. I leave my Nioxin treatment on my hair for 5-7 minutes... as I have a handycap accesible shower I do push offs ..off of the side bar for the 5 minutes.

Lets see,,when I go to the library, I take the stairs instead of the elevator, and I park away fromt he door at the store and anywhere else.
