I love Richard Simmons too!!! I haven't really used any of his videos lately, but he's still great! I have to say that I mostly just use my MP3 player. Music is a great motivator, and just a really big part of my life. I put on the headphones, crank it up, and get to moving! :P My kids also have a trampoline in the backyard, and that's kinda fun...when I don't think the neighbors are watching! he he he

I have three Leslie Sansone DVD's...while I wouldn't say I love her (she can be a bit annoying) I do enjoy the walking in my living room scenario..during the week I excersize at 5am..either recumbent biking in the living room watching Animal Planet reruns or to mix it up I throw one of these DVD's in the player for a little variety - she reallly makes you sweat!!!...on the weekends when time isn't such of a premium, I just take my black lab for a 3-mile walk thru the neighboorhood..this is my favorite..but my schedule during the week doesn't allow it...no gym membership for me...with kids in dance and karate there is no $$ left for a gym membership so I just make do!
The only videos I've ever used are the Richard Simmons ones, and although he is one "odd duck," I do love the music and have 3 of them. (I haven't used them for quite awhile, as I either go to the gym or walk outside.) I remember years ago when I got his 1st video (of course, I was extremely heavy), I could hardly huff & puff my way through 10 min. of it. Eventually, I could work my way through the whole thing and added a couple more for variety. I think his videos are the kind that you can do as easy as you have to, or you can purposely make them more challenging; however, they probably aren't for someone really advanced.
I always hear about the Leslie Sansone WATP videos and am curious as to how they work! I mean, do you literally "walk in place" or what? That's what it sounds like, but I guess I can't imagine doing that for a significant amount of time. I'd love for someone to clue me in!
Happy Weekend!

My most favorite workout is not done at home or at the gym. It's at the local club/bar. I love to dance. I don't do it pretty or anything, but I still love to do it. and that's when I have my biggest losses on Monday mornings as well. As far as at home, I have a Susan Powter step aerobic video, the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds and Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies. We also have a trampoline. It's a workout just to walk circles around the edge.

I have the Reebok recumbent bike with video games built into it. It helps me make it through the exercise and forget what I'm doing. I am a gamer at heart though so getting wrapped up in a game of Tetris or Texas Hold 'em is right up my alley... I replaced a piece of furniture in my living room with the exercise bike so that I have the constant reminder that I need to work out. I really don't have any excuse if I can sit in a chair NEXT to the exercise bike, now do I?
