Even though I've only lost 30 pounds so far, the best thing I have experienced is the increased energy. Being able to do things without always having to stop and take a break is awesome!

The most positive thing for me is that I was pre-diabetic pre-op and worried that I would end up like my dadf this is blind, on dialysis and can hardly walk but now I am doing fine with my blood results. Another positive for me is that I'm in a size 8 for jeans and I can't remeber when I ever was there (I do remember when I was a small child I would have to buy boys husky jeans). Michelle

The most positive thing? I would have to say my self esteem is higher. I feel good about myself. I actually feel pretty! and younger, sexy, and I like to see myself in the mirror. Healthwise, I feel so much better so that would mean my heart is feeling better which was the main reason I had the surgery in the first place. Jolene

I think the most postive personal thing to me, is the way that people relate to me. Close family and friends as well as store personal. I am able to tie my shoes, walk breathing.. And today I went into a store not a fat persons store but a normal persons clothing store and I brought some clothes.. Size MED.. OMG,, I did not know that I lost that much weight.. It felt good to try something on, and it fit..But even more that it looked good.. I love the way my grandchildren can hug me, arms wrapped around my waist..That I can keep up with them more. have more engery.. Etc...

There are a lot but #1 is not even 2 weeks after WLS and I was taken off BP Meds. I can't wait to find out how far my sugar level & cholesteral have dropped. Better health is such a gift. #2 I just feel great. More energy, not as self conscious and HOPEFUL.

I actually stopped at Old Navy because they had a 75% off sign.........And I bought two outfits!!!!!!!! The first one I tried on was even a little too big. Before wls surgery the only clothing sales that I was interested in were at Catherines. Being able to get out and go to different stores and buy stuff is totally amazing. I know that this may not seem big to some, but when you become trapped in catalogs for fashion, it's a huge deal.
