The best thing that happened was I got to stop taking 13 pills a day - I had type 2 diabetes and was told I had to go onto insulin - opted for surgery instead. Even with the regain I've had I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Now I'm only taking 2 pills a day instead of 15 ( I don't count my calcium, vitamins or iron that I need to take daily - I only count prescription medications)

Probably the most positive thing for me is being able to do more activities. Get through the day without having to lay down all the time because I'm in so much pain, and having a bundle of energy to do more then one task a day. Before surgery I would have never believed it if someone had told me that this day would come.

This is totally easy for me...I'm diabetic. I was on 14 pills and 2 shots per day - now NOTHING. I am completely controlled by diet and exercise. Plus no more cpap!!! On a more personal note...today I was told that I am getting too skinny and I'm a hot babe now by one of our linemen (I work for an electric utility).

Hi Lea, My most positive thing about losing weight.... I can walk again, without feeling like I'm going to collapse! I can breath! I can bend over without feeling like my head is going to explode from the pressure... Healthwise the most positive thing is I no longer have High Blood Pressure and no more sleep apnea. Sorry, I couldn't post just one thing ~ so many positives since I've lost weight!!! Doris

So many things in my life have changed since loosing my weight it has been such an exciting journey, being able to buy clothes in the misses section instead of the womens. Being able to keep up with my husband while walking (he runs LOL), feeling better about myself, sitting outside on a lawn chair and not having to worry about breaking it! Just feeling good and being in much better health! The list could go on and on, its the best thing I have ever done for myself, and I'm so thankful I did it. Ada

The most positive thing for me.....There are sooo many answers to that question. My relationship with food has changed drastically!! I am a total label reader now. I can move without hurting all the time. I can fit into a chair without my bottom slipping out the back of it! I can walk alot farther now. Me and my dh are close again... I know that I am healthier than I have been in 20+ years.

The most positive thing for me is that I am beginning to like myself as a person. I feel better about the way I am treating myself and my body. As if I am almost important enough to care about my health and how I eat and if I exercise. I believe I still have a ways to go and have great room for improvement, but as long as I continue to go in a positive direction I am content. Sally
