My goal is to learn to now how to enjoy the new me. I am coming out of my shell and learning to love being out in the public and having fun again; something I thought I forgot how to do. Now I need to learn not to feel guilty if I go out and have some fun; that it's okay!! Michele

My goal is to run a 5k. I am planning to do it in late March. I just started the couch to 5k program and have stuck to it so far. This would never have been a goal for me before but I just feel so good about being able to move.

I have both mini goals and mega goals When my husband is home for R&R in march, I hope to be down my 10 challege pounds and we are going to take a rock climbing class at the gym together. It is a mini goal to have more outdoor activities. My mega goal is in April 2009 to take a cruise for our anniversary. I want to renew our vows on a beach in a beaded wedding sarong. That was my original wedding plan that never happened. So now that is my reward for making it to the goal weight and maintaining.

Short term goal is to loose another 100 lbs. I hope to do this from Jan-June. Look out next Mini here I come Long term is to loose yet another 100 lbs by 10/31/08. I know that is ambitious and I would settle for another 50. My mom is in poor health and I want her to see the littlest me. (which I believe will end up around 248.) I want to run and play with my niece. Go biking with my husband. Buy a smaller car. (I have a big van.) Breathe when I walk - this is getting better daily. Buy clothes at Walmart. Get into a Large shirt. Oh how the list goes on

I guess my main goal was to become healthier and get off the diabetic medication and I have met that goal so I feel my WLS has been a success. As far as future goals, I have never been a real dreamer because I feel that it only sets me up for disappointment. If I had to set something for my future I guess I would like to find someone to spend my life with (easier said then done). I would like to really like myself first and foremost. And someday I would like to learn how to swing dance. Sally

My weight goal is April 15th. This is a biggie for me. When the snow melts I want to get back on my bike and by the end of the summer be able to bike 30 miles. This should be an easy one to make.

I'd like to be able to wear a bathing suit in public (without dying of humiliation)... I have a 4 year old daughter, so would like to take her to a public pool
