Drink more water. That will help flush you out. Rachelle

I'd say it depends on what is causing the fluid retention... If it is just the average premenstrual sort of bloating, yep--waiting it out and flushing with water helps. But, if it is more related to other health conditions such as blood pressure, you could get a med from your doc. Preop, I used to take HCTZ for it. Cutting back on the sodium and even the carbs (body stores carbs in water) can help a bit too! Lea

Patricia, The only times I retain water is when I'm eating more junk than I should, in which case I'm generally also not getting in enough water or Crystal Light. As soon as I start eating good protein, cutting out the bad carbs, & increasing my fluids, I completely lose the puffy ankles, fingers, etc. I too am well past having my periods, so that's never an excuse! (I'm not saying you're eating junk!! This is just my experience!) Jo

Even though I have lost 95 lbs I still have to take lasix almost every day. They tell me to take it as needed, but I can feel it if I miss a day. They never really were able to tell me why I needed it. My blood pressure has always been great, even when I was at my heaviest. For some reason I just don't urinate enough to get out all the fluid that collects in my lower extremities. I can tell that I still need it because I can loose 3 lbs in a day just by taking the lasix. Then the next morning that 3 lbs is back......lol You may want to speak to your primary doctor. Good luck Sally

Drink a cup of hot lemon water with a tad of sweetener in the morning and before bed. Works like a charm! Blessings betsy
