Sorry I'm so late getting this posted! Monday is a hectic catch-up day here! Today's question grew out of our recent threads on what you are eating... Today we'd like to know what YOU use for healthy snack options. What do you use and where do you buy it. My example is the pretzel snacks from Kay's Naturals (kaysnaturals.com) which are full of soy protein and low in carbs. A good snack that I use is turkey pepperoni crisps. I buy the generic (Krogers) turkey pepperoni. I put several slices on a microwave safe plate with a paper towel on it. Microwave them for 1 to 2 minutes depending on your microwave and how crisp you want them. Yummy and full of protein! I sometimes pair this with some cheddar cheese or a string cheese. Lea

My absolute favorite snack is also my morning breakfast (not a morning food person) and it is AchieveOne coffee drinks (good protein, a bit of caffeine the equivalent to a 1/4 cup of caffeine) they taste the best of any protein drink I have triedand after dinner I either have a Jello Sugar Free Pudding..Dolce Da Leche and Caramal are my favorites..or string cheese or the Pretzel Sticks from Kay's Naturals.. laura

Gosh...I am starting to think I'm not doing this right I could not handle the protein drinks very well, but there is 1 type that I can handle, and I only do that once in a blue moon. I don't buy anything special. Most of my snacks are lowfat cheese, nuts, light yogurt that follows the guidelines of course, or something like that. I also like making small tuna/lettuce wraps...yummy! Christy

nuts cheese crisps--put little mounds of shredded cheese on a cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 (or less time if you want them gooey) veggies/dip string cheese, microwaved for a few seconds to make soft celery with veggie cream cheese and wrapped with a ham slice The turkey pepperoni idea sounds delicious...I'm going to make some tonight! I try to make sure my snacks have some kind of protein. My stand-bys are cottage cheese w/ a little sf dry jello mixed in, apple slices w/ a little p.b. smeared on them, light yogurt w/ some chopped almonds & maybe frozen blueberries tossed in, a South Beach High Protein Cereal Bar (not the meal replacement bar), cheese & crackers (I have to be careful of this cause I can get carried away w/ the crackers. Also, for totally non-protein snacks, I eat sf Popsicles/sf Dreamsicles or sf Jello w/ a little light or ff whipped topping. Once in a while a sf Jello pudding w/ topping, but when I have that, I sometimes toss in some choc prot. powder. Jo
