I hate winter, as a rule, but this year to help encourage me to get out there and get some exercise, I made sure that Santa gave not only my 3 kids -- but also me -- snow saucers for Christmas! I have to think that climbing back up those hills after you slide down is good exercise!

I'm not sure about you guys, but I think since I've started losing weight, that I may be burning a few calories by shivering!!! I cannot get warm :P I used to always be hot, now when I go out, I look like that little boy from the Christmas Story movie. I can't put my arms down!!! he he Seriously though, I use my mini trampoline or do some of the exericise shows that are on Comcast on Demand. If I feel extremely energetic I will do Tae Bo (Billy Blanks) with my husband...and then I cry! I can't wait for summer! Christy

Brrrrrr...it got up to 14 degrees in Syracuse today!! Yesterday it was just as cold and I walked around the block, but paid for it last night. My cheeks were so red and stinging(I have always had dry skin). So this morning I asked my husband to dig the treadmill out (right now it's being used as a conveient storage platform. Plus I have a Walk Away the Pounds DVD that I really like. I am counting the days until spring...I really do not like winter!

I haven't yet been cleared to exercise - next week. I have a Y membership so I'm looking forward to starting that. Leslie

Shoveling the snow is my exercise. And there's plenty of it! The back deck, front deck, driveway and sidewalk... ugh! It's enough exercise to last a week! lol Cheers!

I am definitely a fair weather girl... 72 and a slight breeze and I am happy. Obviously because of this trait, I tend to work out at home most of the time, I have a gazelle, free weights, a weight machine, and several videos I use. I also take my breaks at work and spend them walking. I bet there will be a day in April when the weather is "perfect" and I can spend extended periods of time "excercising" outside. Holly

In the spring and summer I walked went 2 miles a day. Now that the cold weather is here I've become a couch potato. That being said I picked up the remote to my son's new Wii and tried the sports fitness challenge today. I'm a fit as a 76 year old, who new lol. But to be honest I also did some batting and tennis practice and worked up a sweat. Sure beats sitting on the couch. Robin P

Hi Lea, As I said yesterday, I really need to exercise MORE!!! I have an elliptical and a treadmill in the basement ~ so no excuse. Also, I just called a gym and asked if they have a day pass so I could try it out and they gave me 12 days free!!! So now I REALLY have no excuse not to exercise... Doris

I do crunches on a rug and I also do the elliptical. I recently started getting back into exercise. I had my surgery on 10-10-07.
