Okay, wrapping up the New Year's round and opening the Valentine's Day round... Lots of details here, so please read it all!! I'll be out of town most of Saturday (12/29) as I'm meeting Sarah (Sarahlicious) and several other OHers at Columbus, OH for lunch. Thus, the roll call is posting a bit earlier than normal. You CAN wait till Monday or Tuesday to post, but please don't forget!! 1) Please post your current weight! 2) If you are already part of the challenge and plan to continue in this new round, you MUST post your current weight AND your Valentine's Day goal weight AND whether you want a buddy or not for the new round. 3) Info on the prizes in the new round can be found at http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/health/postdetail/3293.html?vc=0 If you have not already done so, please consider contributing to the prize fund. Even a buck helps! You can do this via PayPal or by mailing it to me. PM me for details. I've also sent out some contacts to several supplement vendors to see if they'd consider contributing something to our prize at the end or if they'd offer us a discount of some sort... More as I hear from them! 4) How will challenge buddies/partners work? Well, it is simple really! First, a major goal in this is to get to know another one of the challengers. Also, you will be providing one to one support to each other. You can do this however the two of you choose. This may be via emails, phone calls, instant messages, text messages, private messages via the OH site, etc. YOU decide that part! Just be sure to tell me yes or no on the whether you want to have/be a buddy so that you don't get left out. If you do not tell me, I will assume you do NOT want to participate in that part of the challenge. Buddies will be randomly assigned! 5) If you are new and want to join the challenge, please be sure to post the following: your surgery date (if postop), your highest weight, your current weight, and your goal weight for Valentine's Day PLUS whether or not you want to have/be a buddy. 6) ALL challenge posts are posted in the HEALTH FORUM. Bookmark that page! http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/health/posts.html 7) I have set up a YahooGroup for the challenge folks to use as a chat forum of sorts. We can use this for general discussions. Anything you post to the YahooGroup is sent to everyone who joins that group. They can then respond to the group as well. To join that group, send a blank email to [email protected] and watch for a confirmation email. You will have to respond to that email before your membership is accepted. If the majority of the challengers join this YahooGroup, we can do our daily posts that way and you won't have to log in to OH to respond--just have to check your regular email! 8) Suggestions for daily posts?? If you have any suggestions for our daily posts (questions, challenges, etc), please go to the post at http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/health/postdetail/3181.html?vc=0 and post them! We need 6 weeks worth! Anything you've ever wanted to ask another WLS postop?? Please don't respond to the questions listed there though--just make suggestions for more! Hi Lea, My current weight is 225. I didn't meet my New Year's challange, so hopefully I'll make the Valentine one. My goal for that one is 210. I would like a buddy please. Sounds like fun. Have a great weekend. Jules

Hi Lea! My current weight is 211.0 My New Year's Goal is 210, Valentines' Day Goal of 195 and SURE I'll take a buddy! Someone who can PM preferred as I am hard to get a hold of on the phone! Have a blast with Sarahlicious!!!

Hey Lea, Holding steady at 158 this week! My loss has certainly stalled for the past month or so; at least I haven't gained through the holidays, though! My goal for the Valentine's Day challenge is 150 lbs. Fingers crossed!! Steph

I weigh 233, no I did not meet my new year goal and my new goal is 210 by valentines day and yes I wouold love to have a buddy!

I did not attain my New years goal.. So Sad... I missed it by 6 lbs.. so very sad... For valentines Goal : 160 thats 1.52 lbs per week.. I Would love it to be 155, but if I fail again, I will get depressed, so 160 it is.. I DO WANT A BUDDY !!! I think it will be loads of fun. I joined the yahoo group and i contributed to the Fund.. Lea did you try and contact the biggest loser and see if that show would do something special for us? If you need help, let me know and I would be happy to help you.. Thanks again for the group...
