Today has been better than yesterday, so far... M: Coffee w/cream and equal 2p B: Yogurt Dannon Light w/pretzels 8p L: 4 Nacho chips, 4 oz leftover chicken 22p cheese S: Coffee w/cream, equal & protein powder 23p D: Chicken 16p green beans potato (1/8 c) S: peanuts 7p milk skim 5p Drank 16 oz water on my walk, 83 proteins and limited carbs and fat. Wow, what a day! Not in a good way either.... Hubby came in late last night and wanted to go out for breakfast today. Now I've been doing the high protein hot cocoa thing for the last few days, but I went with him and ate real food. I had some scrambled eggs, bacon, grits (wishing I'd had protein powder to stir in!), strawberries and apples. (about 22 protein) Then, when we got home, I had the cocoa I would have had. (32 protein) Later I had a string cheese for a snack. (8 protein) Lunch was a salad with a piece of leftover pork cut up in it, boiled egg, cheese, and cucumber/tomato. (22+ protein) For dinner, I made a dish we do from time to time. For hubby and daughter, it is basmati rice in the bottom of their dish, browned/drained ground beef sprinkled over that, brown/pinto beans over that, and chopped raw tomato and onions on top. I did not, however, have the rice myself. (22+ protein) I may have an apple in a bit, but not sure. Totals for the day were much higher than normal, but maybe that zigzag thing will work with my increased protein to help me get back to losing... Calories was 1350, net carbs was 80 and protein was 116. That is 3 days of 100+ protein levels, usually between 1000 and 1100 calories though and 50 to 60 carbs... UGH! Lea
