The weekend arrives! Great day to get errands done, pay bills, etc. I get to go to the support group at my surgeon's office tonight! I haven't been able to go for the last several months and they really are a great group. I'm excited! I will have to be good today and watch what I eat as I'll get weighed just before the meeting and we always write down how much we've lost on the sign-in sheet! LOL What are you eating today???? Lea

after my horrible snafu yesterday (stoopid doritos and pb/cheese crackers!!! ) i've vowed to be very, very strict for the next couple of days. so far i'm halfway through this list and after i'm finished i'll only have water w/ crystal light or milo's splenda tea for the rest of the day. b: small coffee (1 cream, 1 sugar) w/body fortress whey protein powder (chocolate) s: small coffee (1 cream, 1 sugar) w/body fortress whey protein powder (chocolate) l: 3 oz. honey roasted chicken w/hellmann's honey mustard s: small coffee (1 cream, 1 sugar) w/body fortress whey protein powder (chocolate) d: small coffee (1 cream, 1 sugar) w/body fortress whey protein powder (chocolate) s: 3 oz tuna w/dijonnaise 800 calories 16 g. fat (18%) 32 g. carbs (16%) 131 g. protein (66%)

Bfast: Protein shake (I was out of milk, so I made it with water) Snack: Carb Master Yogurt Lunch: South Beach Diet dinner Snack: soy crisps Supper: soup with tomatoes, okra, corn, onion, turkey keilbasa, and orso pasta (yum!) and 6 reduced fat wheat thins

breakfast: 1 egg plus 1 white with 1 piece buttered toast lunch: 1/2 Wendy's small chili with cheese and 4 saltine squares supper: 1/3 cup mashed potatoes with 1/2 cup scallop and lobster casserole snack: protein drink all water and vits and supps baaaaaaad carb day.....oh well tomorrow will be better

I got off to a slow start eating-wise as I was in Friday, bill paying and errand mode... NO breakfast. I did get my vitamins and drink a bottle of water though. Then, I started on my first 32 oz cup of iced tea. Lunch was a plate of leftovers from dinner Thursday night. I had the turkey breast slices, peas/carrots, and a bit of the parmesan rice dish. Dinner was out at Ryan's Steakhouse. I had a small salad with some boiled egg and cheese, a slice of fresh pineapple, some steak, green beans, broccoli, and a piece of yeast roll. I must admit that this is the only white bread I ever eat--yeast roll when I get to Ryan's OR 1/2 a burger bun when I do fast food on a very rare occasion. Later that night, I had some peanut butter. For the day, totals were 1140 calories, almost 100 carbs (ouch!!) and 79 protein. I'm not losing but I'm not gaining. While not gaining is good, I'd still like to lose another 40 pounds. SO, after discussing this last night with my Nut at the support group meeting, it was decided that I'm just not getting enough protein and should be aiming for 100 grams every day. SO, I have some chocolate Unjury and am going to start doing at least one shake a day to add some protein. We'll see if the greater amount of protein helps any! Lea
