10/6 SAT What did you eat today?
The weenie wagon went well. In the time I was there today (5 hours), we raised over 200 just by selling hotdogs, canned pop, and baked goods for donation only--no set prices. They made 217 bucks yesterday evening and we still had the rest of the evening today, all day tomorrow and half a day on Monday. We ought to do pretty good when we break it all down afterwards. Fingers crossed anyway!
I ate some Special K protein plus with milk before I went out there this morning. So, I did get in breakfast with some protein (about 20 grams). However, once I was there, the carb craving kicked in big time and I ate a little blueberry muffin (I made them, so I knew how much sugar they had in them). Later, for lunch, I ate 2 hotdogs (weiner only, no buns) with some chili sauce drizzled over it. So, again, while it wasn't the best choice, it was the best choice of what I had to pick from and did have some protein. I'd say with the beef in the chili that I got maybe 12 or 13 grams protein from that. Once home, I had some cheddar cheese which was another 12 grams, so up to about 44 or 45 for the day. I'm not sure yet what dinner will be, but am thinking about that leftover meatloaf in there! If we don't eat it soon, I'll have to freeze it and then we just forget it is even here! So, with meatloaf and a veggie for dinner and some sort of protein snack for later (yogurt maybe), I hope to make it to at least 75 grams of protein for the day. Still not my 80 to 100 target zone, but not yesterday's 60 either!
I've also gotten in almost 64 ozs of liquids by 6 pm, so I'll hit more than 90 before the day is out!
