Hump day.... It is also, for anyone interested, National AD/HD Awareness Day. As a volunteer for CHADD (Children & Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders), I appreciate this because I live with a bunch of AD/HD folks... If you've got one in your life, give 'em a hug from me!

I'm pre-op and am at the end of the first week of a doctor-ordered 12-week liquid diet. So here is what I had:

The time between my afternoon snack and dinner was really difficult because I had a hard therapy session and normally I would have overeaten to make myself feel better. But I did it. Yay!
It's Wednesday which means I get to stop at Panera for coffee!!!!
Bkfst: pure protein bar/coffee

Second bkfst: Atkin shake
Lunch: OM Kid's mini lunchable turkey/cheese
V-8 juice
Snack: no pudge brownie (teacher birthday)

Dinner: 2 slices extra thin crust Private Selection pepperoni pizza (1/8 of pie)
salad/6 shrimp

I have a 12 yr old boy who is ADD and I did not know that today was AD/HD awareness day. Believe me, living with my Casey makes everyday ADHD awareness day for me... I will give him a great big hug this evening, and I will tell him about it, but he would not remember tomorrow.
Anyway, my food for today was less than desirable....
B- coffee & 1/2 protein bar
L- 1 Ruby Tuesday's mini cheesburger & about 10 french fries.
S- 1 oz almonds & 2 snickers minis
D- 2 oz grilled chicken, 1/2 baked apple & about 4 tator tots.
S-1/4 cup parmesian cheese noodles.
Tomorrow WILL be better!!!!!

early--bottle of water (yes, I drank water today!) with my vitamins
breakfast--thinly sliced beef steak with onion, panfried (probably 20 grams protein)
snack--broccoli salad and cheddar cheese, calcium, fish oil, and 32 ozs iced tea with lemon/splenda (probably 8 grams protein)
lunch--meat out of a 6" Subway Club (ham, turkey, roast beef and one triangle of cheese) plus some raw carrot, broccoli, and cucumber (probably 20 grams protein)
snack--Special K Meal Bar (never tried these and was out and grabbed it at the convenience store), chocolate/peanut butter (not bad, sort of like a rice crispy treat! may use again--10 grams protein)
Also had my second dose of calcium and fish oil AND a 24 oz bottle of water (write that down--two bottles of water in ONE day!)
dinner--cubed beef steak (probably 20 grams of protein) with peas/corn mix
snack--nothing! Still stuffed from late dinner. But I do have another 32 oz cup of tea to work on.
Totals for the day are about 78 grams of protein and about 100 ozs liquids. With that meal bar, I probably topped 1000 calories for the day. Carbs weren't too bad and weren't any white/refined ones.

Ok so the Breve gave me to many too much fat, and I may need a little more fiber

Not such a good eating day, but here goes...
breakfast: nothing
am snack: 3oz hamburger with about 2oz spaghetti squash with tom sauce and cheese
lunch: nothing
mid day snack #1: 120 cal bag mini pringles
mid day snack #2: 1c Kashi crunch (no milk)
mid day snack #3: 1 very small piece broccoli and cheese calzone
supper: 2 oz chicken 2 broccoli pieces and 3 pieces penne
pm snack #1: 1c cantaloupe chunks
pm snack #2: another bag of those @#$%^ mini pringles
I did take all of my vits and supps and water.
So in closing I would like to say.....I am so glad that I am fessing up to all of this. And this is what happens when you skip breakfast. And also this is what happens when you have crap in the house to eat (the mini's). And this is what my life was like before surgery. That is really scary. Tomorrow I will only eat my planned meals and snacks.
I did go to the "Y" for a couple of hours this morning. Did some water walking and water aerobics and some swimming and of course the floating with my friends.
